Carolyn has been working with children and families for nearly 25 years in a variety of settings including child welfare, criminal/legal system, healthcare, prevention and private practice. She specializes in treating women with mood disorders and addiction issues, as well as mothers who are involved in the child welfare or criminal/legal systems.
Carolyn provides parenting education for caregivers with children/adolescents who have mental health concerns and conducts individual and family therapy as needed.
Carolyn also works with individuals who are Highly Sensitive People (HSP) sometimes known as Sensory Processing Sensitivity. Having first hand experience parenting a Highly Sensitive Child (HSC), Carolyn is interested in assisting other children and families in learning about this trait. Carolyn is a licensed clinical social worker and completed her PhD in social work from Michigan State University.
