Emily is a licensed clinical social worker who received her graduate degree from Grand Valley State University, and an undergrad degree in psychology from Aquinas College. She has experience and special interest in working with those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence, substance use disorders, and severe and persistent mental illness. With experience of over 5 years in the mental health field she strives to create a safe and secure environment for those she serves. It is her goal to work alongside clients, find their internal strengths, promote future resiliency, and shed light on solutions found within. Utilizing interventions such as DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Strength-based approaches, Motivational Interviewing, Art therapy, and other evidence-based practices.
