Mary is a licensed clinical social worker with a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University. Mary has been working as a social worker with children, teens, and families for 16 years in a variety of settings including the child welfare/foster care/adoption systems, the juvenile justice system, homelessness, and professional licensing. She has experience working with children, teens, and adults with a variety of issues including trauma, family issues, poverty, child abuse, domestic violence, life transitions, mental health, and developmental delays. Mary respects the worth and self-determination of each person and works closely with clients to create and set goals that matter to them.
Mary believes that every individual deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood. She also believes that people already possess the potential to find the answers they need within themselves, and with some guidance, can learn to unearth those answers. Nobody knows you better than you. Sometimes you just need someone to help you find you. Mary’s goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for people from all walks of life. She believes her true calling is to help others become their truest and most beautiful version of themselves.
Mary is open to all spiritual beliefs and sexual preferences. Mary is a huge animal lover and would welcome pets as an additional comfort in sessions. Virtual and in-person sessions available.
