Hi, I’m Denise, a Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and find a path toward healing and stability. I take a collaborative, compassionate approach to mental health care, grounded in respect, education, and individualized treatment planning.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Grand Valley State University, followed by an Associate Degree in Nursing from Grand Rapids Community College. I completed my Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Phoenix in 2005 and went on to earn a post-master’s certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health from the University of Cincinnati in 2017.
Over the years, I’ve learned that life can throw us unexpected curveballs, and sometimes we need a little help to get back on our feet. I work closely with each client to develop a person-centered, strengths-based recovery plan, focusing on resilience, self-awareness, and individualized goals. I believe in building strong partnerships with my clients and their families to support the best possible outcomes.
I provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, treatment planning, and medication management in collaboration with a licensed psychiatrist. My approach emphasizes client education and shared decision-making, so you feel informed and empowered every step of the way. Whether you’re managing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or other mental health conditions, I’m here to support you with evidence-based care tailored to your needs.
If you’re ready to explore your options and take the next step toward mental wellness, I’d be honored to work with you.
