I am pleased to be joining Life Support LLC. I am a Licensed Masters Social worker with a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a masters degree from Eastern Michigan University. My most recent experience was as an outpatient therapist for a hospital’s mental health program. While there I helped clients work through various forms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, panic disorders, and grief and loss. I also have a wealth of other experience prior to my outpatient work at the hospital, working for the State of Michigan in child welfare and delinquency as well as with some local court systems helping clients with anger management and domestic violence abuse. In total, I have been doing counseling for close to 45 years!
I have a passion for helping adults manage the emotional turmoil of life stressors: relationships, grief and loss, anger management, self esteem. My goal is that you will feel supported and empowered to manage these stressors and that you will be able to find a sense of purpose, hope and direction.
In the therapeutic relationship I use a variety of therapeutic tools as are indicated for your personal needs including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused approaches.
