Denise is a Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Grand Valley State University, her associate degree in Nursing from Grand Rapids Community College, her master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2005, and her post-masters certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati in 2017.
Denise believes that sometimes life throws us curveballs, and we need a little help to get back on our feet. She supports a collaborative relationship with clients and a person-centered recovery plan that focuses on individual strengths, resilience, and the ability to recover despite life’s many challenges.
Denise collaborates with clients to establish treatment options. She believes in educating clients and their families and providing support for the best possible outcomes. She collaborates with a licensed Psychiatrist to diagnose, treat, monitor, and manage medication for patients. Denise views treatment as a collaboration and will work alongside patients and their families/supports to create a treatment plan that works for the patient.
