Therapy for Those Who Don’t Do Therapy (Until They Have To)
I’m not your typical therapist—and chances are, you’re not here because life’s been typical.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience—and a Firefighter/EMT with more than 25 in the trenches. I’ve worked everything from child welfare and crisis calls to medical social work and mental health. But what drives me now is working with First Responders, Veterans, and high-stakes professionals who are running on empty and sick of pretending they’re fine.
You’ve seen things most people can’t imagine. You’ve held the line. And maybe it’s catching up with you—through the anxiety, the short fuse, the nightmares, the burnout, or the numbness you can’t shake. I get it. Not because I read about it in a book—but because I’ve lived it.
My clinical degrees are from Grand Valley State University and Western Michigan University, but my real education came on the job—under red lights, on bad calls, in locker rooms, and around firehouse coffee tables.
I also believe in walking the walk. Mental health isn’t just about what happens in the chair—it’s in your body, your routines, and how you respond when things get hard. I ran my first marathon in 2022 and powered through several triathlons in 2023. Not for glory—but to stay sharp, stay grounded, and keep pushing limits.
If you’re tired of surface-level talk and ready for real work—I’m here. Straightforward. No fluff. Just honest therapy for people who never thought they’d need it.
